What is the best file format for printing photos?

Here are the three files types we accept and recommend for printing.

  1. TIFF is a widely used format for printing because it is uncompressed and preserves all the original image data. TIFF files are also compatible with most printers and printing software.
  2. JPEG is a compressed file format that is commonly used for sharing and printing photos. While JPEG files are smaller in size than TIFF files, they may lose some image quality due to compression. If using JPEG for printing make sure it is saved at the maxium file size or quality.
  3. PSD is a proprietary file format used by Adobe Photoshop for saving and editing layered images. PSD files can be used for printing but may not be compatible with all printers and software.

Overall, TIFF is generally considered the best file format for printing photos as it is uncompressed and preserves all the original image data.
